The Otherners are a bluegrass band rooted in Boulder, Colorado, featuring some of the region’s most respected acoustic musicians: Eric Thorin on bass, Justin Hoffenberg on fiddle, Dave Richey on dobro, Chris “Cbob” Elliot on banjo, Jordan Ramsey on mandolin, and Martin Gilmore on guitar and vocals.
While the group’s foundation is unmistakably bluegrass, driven by a deep respect for tradition, the Otherners bring a fresh, contemporary spirit to their music. Their sound balances drive and finesse, blending the precision of classic bluegrass with modern energy and storytelling.

Collectively, they have about 237 gig years of experience, hitting their stride when they began terrorizing the downtown Boulder music scene in the late '70s. An eclectic mix of originals and re imagined jazz standards as well as under played gems by Pat Metheny, Keith Jarrett and Charlie Haden.
